About Us

We — Barbro and Bosse — are the new owners of Lala Phantsi Inn Bed and Breakfast. We are of Swedish nationality and used to live in Cape Town some 30 years ago — 3 years in Cape Town and 1 year in Port Elizabeth — we are now back again and it is wonderful! Bosse worked as an Engineer for Siemens. We and our 3 daughters moved from South Africa to Syracuse, NY - USA and then back to Sweden again. Even Pelle, our dog at the time, was moving with us. 6 years ago we came back to Cape Town for the first time in 30+ years.

We are also operating Round and About Tours (kapstaden.com in Swedish) as tourist guides. (Or capetown.nu in English.) There is no time for lazy days...

Very friendly atmosphere!

Lala Phantsi is a small, comfortable guest house with stunning sea views, swimming pool, decks and just a 200 meters from Fish Hoek family beach. The long sandy beach is one of the safest in the Cape for bathing and body boarding and when the wind picks up, hobie-cats and windsurfers take to the waves.

From July to October whales come into Fish Hoek bay and loll around just 50 meters from the shore in preparation for mating and giving birth. Huge schools of dolphins are also sometimes seen.
